EVDO, or Evolution Data Only/Evolution Data Optimized, is a 3G mobile broadband technology used for wireless transmission of data through radiosignals, typically for broadband Internet access.

In India unlimited internet is only a myth if you dig a little bit, you will notice how ISPs are misusing the ‘unlimited’ term to lure customers..No company provide true unlimited internet they just reduced speed around 74 kbps or even 32 kbps in which it is very difficult to download or even search the web.

First of all, get a CDMA data card of your friend and test if you are getting proper speed in your area or not
Then, go to your nearest BSNL Office and fill the application form for new EVDO Connection.
Choose from Prepaid or Postpaid, we recommend prepaid as you don’t have to pay when you are when you don’t use your connection.
Pay the activation charges (INR 399) and don’t forget to take the contact number of the executive attending you at BSNL.
He will provide you a SIM and Connection Number (10 Digit) along with username and password(username and password is requiered for connection)
If you are not satisfied with prithvi data card then you can use any cdma based dongle.

DISADVANTAGES
1.Frequently Disconnection Problem(easy To fix)
2.slow speed if you are very far from the Bsnl towar
3.support upto windows 7(we have to manually install in win 8 or 10)
4.BSNL EVDO is not available for mobile phones. But you can turn your EVDO connection into wifi
5.Prithvi Data Card (provided by BSNL) is of bad quality.

keep the modem in cool place don't allow overheating of the Modem
don't drop it from height
if your speed is more than 340 kBps than modem starts Overheating Which causes disconnection problem.
